Subject Are there plans to create works in other genres?
Message Hi Kalu, I enjoy the poems you've written, but I was wondering if there are any upcoming works in different genres or forms? I like short stories, and works of fiction, any works similar to that coming soon?

Dear Geoff,
Thanks for your recent mail expressing appreciation for my poems and wondering if I plan to create in other genres. The answer to that question is a resounding yes. I am exploring the genres of fiction as well as screen plays. I use writing as a tool to help nudge mankind towards doing better than he has done till date. There must always be an underlying message of hope and redemption in anything that I create. The form and format can certainly vary but that underlying message must shine through all my works. In that light, I am very much intrigued to see what I can come up with next. Once again thanks for your kind letter.
Regards,
K.O

Message Hi Kalu, I was wondering who might be your favorite authors?

Dear Jeremy,
Thank you for your question asking to know who my favorite authors were. I don't have one really but I have always leaned towards the English Victorian authors as their work never seem to go out of style. However your question evoked a detailed response titled "Thinking about Decorum, Alacrity and Impetus" that I have posted to the Text Posts page of my website-kaluonwuka.com. I hope that you will find the time to read it as I suspect that you will enjoy it. Let me know what you think and thank you.
Regards,
K.O

Subject Research
Message How do you do your research?

Hello!
Thank you for contacting me to ask how I do the research for my books. As I always acknowledge in all my books, I write through the light of Christ and try to live true to Truth as the words of God teach. Having said that I believe that I have been guided through life in order to experience certain things and have through grace come into knowledge of certain unchanging truths . Life has taught me invaluable lessons which I have learned very well but not as readily as I should have I might add. And so I draw inspiration from the many areas of life that I have experienced both in my personal and professional life. I can safely say that living life in the light of Truth and love of God has been all the research that I have ever needed. There is a fountain of knowledge and wisdom up there much like the internet is down here that opens up for all who nobly seek after truth to drink from. To put it very simply, living and loving in truth has produced a rich and abundant harvest of knowledge for me which I am eager to share with my readers. I hope that I have answered your question satisfactorily.
Best in life,
K.O

Subject Writing
Message How long does it take you to write a book?

Hello,
Thank you very much for asking a question that I have heard many times. Frankly the books that I have written so far somehow ended up writing themselves. All told the average book of 200 pages takes about three to four months to be completed. Let me try to explain the process as best as I can. It is almost as if a faucet is opened and the water starts flowing out when I begin to write. But long before that I walk around for awhile 'pregnant' in my head with the book before I actually sit down to write. How long do I walk around with book in my head you might ask? Well, it usually takes a couple of months for the whole process to crystallize and take shape in my head before I sit down to start writing. Simply put, I usually have a good sense of where it is that I am going before I start to write and then wait to be 'conveyed' along that path by my muse during the writing process. And so in that sense the writing process itself is always a soothing breeze for me but somehow the editing still remains a task for me.
Best,
K.O

Message How do you choose topics for your weekly blog?

Hello,
Thank you for asking a question about an issue that many of today's bloggers wrestle with. I wondered about that before I wrote my very first blog. But that first blog turned out to be an eye-opener for me. One of my daughters and her husband were visiting with us at the time and observing how he took certain bumps along life's road in stride gave me not only the material for that first blog but the template that I have used then. My weekly blogs are in essence light-hearted commentaries and observations about life that always concludes with a valuable lesson. Who says you can't laugh at life while making serious points at the same time. Hasn't it always been said that laughter is the best medicine? There are life lessons waiting to be drawn from everything going around. Observe and write but please try to find the humor in it no matter how serious and earth-shattering you think the situation is.
Regards,
K.O
