There is good news to share about the progress of the forth-coming Capsules of Divine Splendor. Barring any last-minute delay due to unforeseen circumstances, this long anticipated title will become available to the reading public by the beginning of April, 2015 so as to coincide with the L.A Times Festival of Books.

 

Just as a reminder and to keep all readers  duly informed, Capsules of Divine Splendor is a book of insightful notes and commentary on wide-ranging topics of spiritual interest to enlighten as well as strengthen the faith of those that aspire for wisdom in true light after Christ.

 

As usual, I plan to make excerpts of this title available  through this site so that readers can have a chance to preview it and offer comments or suggestions as necessary. So please let me know what you think after reading through the excerpts.

The LA Times Festival of Books at the USC campus turned out to be a must-see event as expected over the weekend. This annual celebration of written words spanned two days and featured author panels, celebrity appearances, cooking demonstrations, art and photo installations, music performances, film screenings and hundred of booksellers and exhibitors.

 

The festival which just marked its twentieth year has gathered quite a deserved reputation as a place for authors as well as all artists to celebrate ideas and express opinions  in unique ways. While the LA Times remains a premier print outlet that engages and informs it readers on a daily basis, it hosts this event because it recognizes that books give voice to more nuanced portraits, provide deepr context for current events and challenge imagination.

 

If you missed the event this year then mark this annual centerpiece  of the Los Angeles cultural scene on your calendar as the place to be next year as it is turning out to be a gathering place.
